What we want the Lade to become

The Lade already has a long history of servicing your needs whether it was a cup of tea all those years ago, a quick bite en route to a fishing trip or a night long singalong at one of our Ceilidhs. We want to retain the charm of the building and its traditional homeliness yet develop the reputation for being one of the best places to eat in the area. We're not a fancy restaurant with starch linen and posh plates, we're a quirky, cosy, warm and friendly pub with a great garden that is ideal for a family meal or a romantic dinner.

Our Environmental Commitment

We love the beautiful area we live in and want to do our best to ensure the impact we have on the environment is as minimal as possible. To reduce the amount of pollution we create from road miles and to support the local businesses in our community, we source all our produce locally wherever possible. To demonstrate our environmental commitment we are members of the Green Tourism Business Scheme, a grading scheme set up by Visit Scotland to raise awareness and support businesses that adopt green operating procedures. We are proud to announce that after less than 1 year, our hard work in turning around this established business has achieved a Silver award, obviously our goal is Gold but we will keep you updated on our developments.
