The Team

Frank Park - Dad; Book Keeping & Professional Bar Propper
Taking on The Lade back in 2005 it was a change for Frank having spent his life working in computers.  Although most of his time is spent doing paperwork for the day to day running of the pub he still manages to come down and work in the  bar on a Friday and Saturday night so he can enjoy the live Scottish music.  Having an interest in Ales and Wines helps Frank to keep our bar well stocked from Whisky to Fine Wines and not forgetting our own Real Ales and Guest Ales which feature during our annual Beer Festival.
In his spare time Frank likes to play Golf at the local Golf course, watch his beloved Chelsea on the telly and walk The Lade’s resident dog, Bobby.

Rita Park - Mum; Sales Manager for Real ale shop.
Rita has had years of experience in customer service from working in many retail, catering and food shops throughout her life.  Starting off in the restaurant waitressing, doing bar work and helping in the kitchen where needed, Rita is now in charge of running our Real ale shop next door.  Being a T-total doesn’t seem to stop Rita from being a great saleswomen and being a dab hand at beer selling.
In her spare time she loves to be pampered by having a nice massage or going to the theatre.  Rita is a very keen gardener and not just buying and planting them but actually cultivating plants that came from family many years ago.

Stephen Park - Son; Head Chef
Starting life as a college graduate he gained his chef training at Turnberry Hotel, where he worked for 4 years under Stuart Cameron.  He then moved back down south for the next 6 years to work at the Ritz London and then the Landmark Hotel in Marylebone.  Missing the cold winds, snow and Northern lights of old Aberdeen, he moved back up north in 2003 to work at the Square Restaurant, which has achieved an excellent reputation for its food.  He met his wife Laura while working at The Lade and they married in 2009.  He loves spending time with his Daughter Chloe and Wife Laura, playing Golf with his Dad and watching Chelsea.

Laura Park – Daughter in law; Restaurant Manageress
Laura joined us when we first took over The Lade starting off working part time then moving to Supervisor and finally becoming Manageress.  She has spent many years waitressing and has a passion for customer service.  Photography is her other passion and you can find some of her work for sale in our restaurant.  Becoming a Mummy in 2011 Laura has taken a more behind the scenes roll although she is working on training baby Chloe to one day work in the restaurant (maybe a little early for that).  Her hobbies include Photography and Travel.

Chloe Park- Grandaughter
Chloe is the daughter of Stephen and Laura Park born in August 2011.  She loves coming to the pub and meeting new people and being spoiled by the staff.

Alison, Fred, Daisy and Honeyrose
When the business was first set up there were two other family members involved.  Alison (then Park) and her Husband Fred.  They both put a lot of their own personality into the business with Fred’s artwork being displayed in our restaurant,  and  both having a background knowledge in wine and marketing to name but a few.  After having their first Daughter Daisy and being married by our Inglenook fireplace, Fred and Alison decided it was time for a change.  They are now very much settled in Somerset and have another beautiful daughter called Honeyrose.  And not to forget the latest addition to the family, Coco the puppy.

Lyndsay  – Waitress
Lyndsay is a great asset to The Lade with her friendly personality and hard work ethic.  She spends a lot of her days keeping the other staff under control as she is a dab hand at organising things.  When she is not working she loves to go for long walks with her boyfriend and dog and spend time with friends and family.

Raymond - Second Chef
Raymond started working at The Lade when the last owners had it and is a well-liked member of staff.  Originally coming from Budapest, Hungary Raymond has improved greatly in speaking English and understanding the Scottish sense of humour.  A very laid back person is just what the kitchen needed as the heat of the kitchen can sometimes become too much and Raymond certainly takes things in his stride.  Recently married to his beautiful wife Bernadett and now proud parents to the gorgeous Liliane.  Their Labrador Nero is no longer the baby of the family.

Adam – Waiter and Barman
One of two brothers who work at The Lade Adam is normally found working in the bar but also takes to the restaurant when needed and the shop on a busy day.  Adam has worked in other local establishments and gained lots of experience in hospitality and customer service.
When not working he loves nothing more than going to Celtic games with his brother and friends and enjoys a game of poker which he has become quite good at.

Shayne – Waiter and Kitchen Porter
Shayne came into the pub one day to see if we had any jobs going and luckily for us we did.  He is a very enthusiastic young man who gets his head down and does whatever we ask him to do.  As he likes washing dishes you never hear him moan on a busy day and he always has a smile on his face.  He has recently started working in our restaurant as a waiter and seems to love working with the public.    Coming to Callander from the Shetland Isles it was quite an adjustment for him and the family to be able to nip to the shops and being part of a large school like McLaren High.  In his spare time Shayne likes doing what any other typical young lad does, hanging out with his friends.
Robert – Waiter and Shop assistant
Robert came to work for us in 2011 and we are very happy he did.  A great worker and very fast talker it can sometimes be hard to keep up with his fast pace around the restaurant.  A chirpy chap Robert has a very friendly and helpful attitude about him which makes him great for working at The Lade.  He is a very social type and likes meeting with friends for a quiet drink and chat.

Sam – Kitchen Porter and Waiter
Sam started working for us when he was just a young lad.  Now at Dundee University he still comes back to help us out during the holidays.  Sam is Adam’s brother and the two love working with each other.  They both share a passion for football and love going to watch Celtic play.  He is also very good with computers and looks after our computers when something goes wrong with them.

Jano – Comis Chef and Kitchen Porter
Jano is now working for us for the third time after coming here from Slovakia.  Only a temporary member of staff Jano comes to live in Scotland for a few months at a time and while here works for us.  He has many hobbies including drawing and tattooing, his artwork is phenomenal.  A great help to Stephen and Raymond in the kitchen and Rita in the garden.

Debbie - Waitress
This is the second time that Debbie has come to work for us.  She has a wonderful bubbly personality so the customers just love her.  Debbie worked for us before she went traveling and she moved away to New Zealand to work abroad and gain experience in other areas.  She came back to us in 2012 and we were happy to see her return.  Debbie loves to socialise with friends and also has a love for working on boats.  She has previously worked on the Steam Ship Sir Walter Scott which she loved.
