Camra Local Accreditation for The Lade Inn
Lade Inn First with CAMRA LocAle Accreditation
CAMRA have awarded the Lade Inn the first LocAle Accreditation in the Forth
Valley, indeed this is probably the first award in Scotland. The award was presented
to Frank Park of the Lade Inn by Fergus Wood, Provost of Stirling.
Frank Park acknowledged “This accreditation recognises the close working
relationship established between the Lade Inn and Traditional Scottish Ales and in
particular with Douglas Ross, who has lent his brewing skills to the development of
the Lade Inns own exclusive range of Real Ales Waylade,
Ladeback and Ladeout”.
Alistair Prior Chair of the local Camra branch commented "LocAle is a unique
opportunity for publicans to show commitment to the local community by always
having local beers on the bar. It is very fitting that Frank and his team at the Lade Inn,
who have supported this concept since they took over the pub, are the first to be
accredited in the Forth Valley under the Campaign for Real Ale's (CAMRA) LocAle
Scheme. We look forward to other Pubs taking part and promoting the wealth of
excellent Real Ale brewed in and around the Forth Valley."
"Notes for editors CAMRA
LocAle is a new initiative that promotes pubs
stocking locally brewed real ale. The scheme builds on a growing consumer
demand for quality local produce and an increased awareness of 'green' issues.
